Andrew Eddie is the longest serving developer for the Joomla project and is able to provide strategic insight for development projects that can be offered by few other people in the world. As well as coding Joomla 1.6, Andrew also runs a Joomla consultancy NewLifeinIT, The Art of Joomla developer tutorials and blogs and partners with jXtended to offer Joomla extensions. Sam, 20, of Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, is the youngest member of the development team. He is currently studying IT and has been working with Mambo (now Joomla) since early 2004. His work came to the fore with the Google SOC and his update system, which has now been included in Joomla. Sam also authors the JAuthTools project, which provides LDAP support for Joomla 1.0 and 1.5.
It all started in October 2003, when Brad stumbled upon Mambo in his quest for an easy to use CMS. By 2004 he was on the Core Team looking after forum administration. Since then his responsibilities have broadened to encompass looking after all the Joomla! websites and infrastructure.
